Who runs this site
Avenyce is an independent publication operated by a registered sole proprietorship based in Norway. Every message sent through the contact form reaches the person who runs it, and that's the route for anything in this policy — including a request for the registered entity details.
What we collect
If you use the contact form: your name, email address and message. These are submitted through Netlify Forms, our hosting provider, and are used only to read and reply to your message. We don't add you to a mailing list, and we don't pass your details to anyone else.
If you just browse: our host keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses and basic request data. This is ordinary web-server operation and we don't use those logs to build any profile of you.
The quiz: your answers are handled entirely in your own browser. They aren't sent to us, stored on a server, or linked to you. Close the tab and they're gone.
Analytics, and what we don't collect
No accounts, no newsletter, no advertising trackers, and no profile of you.
We do use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It is a privacy-first tool: it sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and does not identify or follow individual visitors. It tells us that a page was viewed, not who viewed it. Because it stores nothing on your device, it needs no cookie banner.
Affiliate links and cookies
Some links on this site are affiliate links. When you click one, the retailer or the affiliate network handling that link may set a cookie in your browser so that a resulting purchase is credited to us. That cookie is set by them, on their terms, not by us.
We may work with Skimlinks, an affiliate technology provider, to handle some of these links. You can read the Skimlinks privacy policy and opt out of their tracking at optout.skimlinks.com.
If you're in the EEA or the UK, no affiliate tracking cookie is placed until you've agreed to it.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask what data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it. In practice the only thing we're likely to hold is a message you sent us. Ask through the contact form and we'll deal with it.
Contact-form messages are kept for as long as they're useful for answering you, and deleted after that.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. We won't quietly broaden what we collect.
